Well I saw the other 5 star rating and yes I said great ! When the book came I jumped on in, the more I read the more I started to wonder when they start to take about FASTING after all that is what the book is about ! Well The total text on fasting in this book should have been formatted to a nice 10 page booklet that still would have allowed the Braggs to do the endless bragging this book is FULL of ! To Me This Book Was A Waste Of Time And Money ! It’s Wasn’t My First Book On Fasting and As For The Braggs – Let your EGO GO !

The only thing that makes this book a step above an infomercial is that you have to read it! The authors also seemed to talk down to the readers, assuming we wouldn’t understand unless they put it in the simplest of terms. I’ve seen better essays (grammatically) from first year college students — I kept getting thrown off with all the sentence fragments and had a hard time figuring out where the authors were going with those fragments.

The content did interest me, and I think there were many valid points. I just didn’t like the presentation.

I’m really sorry to say this because it does seem that Mr Bragg has been an inspiration to so many people, but the content of this book could indeed have been put into about half a dozen pages. There is so much padding and waffle. I bought this hoping to get a step-by-step approach to the subject, some well-organised practical advice and perhaps some scientific insights, but I now know I should look elsewhere.

Paul Bragg lied about his date of birth, claiming to have been born in 1881, when official records prove he was born in 1895. He lived to be 81, not 95,96, or 97. Also, he did not die in a surfing accident, he died from injuries sustained in a surfing accident. Official records also prove that Patricia Bragg is his former daughter in law, not his daughter. He also claimed to cure his sister….he had no sister. He claimed his father was a farmer who cured livestock with apple cider vinegar…..his father was a printer. This is similar to the story of Norman Walker. His followers claimed he lived to be well over 100, when in fact he lived to be 99. That said, the Bragg lifestyle is excellent. Jack Lalanne was a sick sugarholic until attended a Paul Bragg lecture at age 15. He is now 94 and in great shape! I follow the Bragg lifestyle and I have benefited enormously. I am tireless, painless, and ageless. I don’t think living to 120 is reasonable, but I plan to live a long time. This is one of the best books on health and longevity, and I follow it to the letter. If you do the same, you can truly be born again. Overall an invaluable book, even though Paul Bragg made up stories and flat-out lied.

I’m so worried about the way our kids are headed in nowadays. Watching Jamie Olivers food revolution tv program scared the thingies out of me. I suggest we all start cooking some healthy recipe like these at home if we’re going to fix this horrible situation. The ones on that site seem pretty easy, I tried last night and it’s the first time my family has eaten well in ages, I just feel great.
