Kareem El Gabri life story-GYS Kareem is “sharing” his Special Olympic Story with all of you. But first he will tell you about his life story. Kareem is an autistic, 12 yrs old boy, who has been included in mainstream schools through all his educational history. This Special Olympics -Socially interactive- experience is the harvest of the inclusion of an autistic child starting as early as pre-school age. Kareem was part of Team Egypt to the Global Youth Summit (GYS) Oct. 2007 during the Special Olympics World Summer games in Shanghai China. Till the day he participated in the summit he always found it hard to talk about his special abilities. After he came back from GYS he started to accept to be opened up and speak out. I believe it is a very inspiring story and a brave attempt from him -as a first timer- to know and to talk about his special abilities.
