Porcelain crabs are beautiful. And yes, the concept artists for Avatar did a lot of research in marine biology, especially for the colours.

It looks like the scene in Avarta when Jaque first goes into the forest.
It probably reminds people of Avatar when designing Pandora, the designers did a lot of research on Earth sciences. Also it makes it seem more realistic if it’s based on something real.
I find learning about underwater life way more interesting than most wildlife programs :/

I don’t think he can be replaced, i grew up watching him, his passion for the life around him were infectious to all who watched.
