I have only heard Garnet Rogers sing this song but this is one incredible video. I am glad I found it here and able to listen to it over and over again. A remarkable story about hopes and dreams. The funny thing is … I hate pigeons!

I’d never heard the original of this. I only ever heard the version that Half Man Half Biscuit did in session on the Andy Kershaw BBC Radio 1 show in September 2004.

I’ve never figured out how Pigeons manage to navigate over territory they have never seen before. I really enjoyed this piece. Darwin

A very moving song – great to hear Dave Sudbury’s original words and music on YouTube at last. I’ll look out for the book, too!
