Sohrab’s Scars

Get Up!


This is a little video I made after I heard the story of Sohrab, a 19 year old Iranian student who was murdered brutally by the Islamic Republic security forces in the post-election civil unrest in Iran. You can see his picture throughout the video. His mother can also been seen in few of the pictures, especially in one of them where she is sitting right next to him just a few days before his demise. As I’ve heard she has not been silent for one single moment ever since and is still fighting for justice. The music is from “Scars on Broadway” debut album, the song is titled “Insane”. Special Thanks to Reza, my Iranian friend who introduced me to this, most inspiring story, of our time. This video includes some very graphic scenes but I think it is necessary for us to understand the level of bravery of Iranian people.
