Children of the Amazon

Brazilian filmmaker Denise Zmekhol travels to the heart of the Amazon in search of the indigenous children she photographed fifteen years ago. She encounters a world transformed by logging, ranching and disease. From the assassination of rubber tapper Chico Mendes to the ongoing struggle to protect the forest, this inspiring story of resilience reveals how we are all children of the Amazon, breathing the same air and sharing the same fate. www.newsreel.org
