This book is one of the worst books that i have ever bought . The writers are just based on emotion and not to scientific facts . They hate any food that is not green .They use some psuedoscientific facts though for example , If u put a child in a cage whith a rabit and an apple the child will eat the apple and play whith the rabit thats why we must not eat meal !!! there is an abundance of such ” scientific facts”.

Stay away from this book , it can only make your health worst .

A book only a vegan would love!

I read this book years ago and lost a lot of weight as well but after a few months I was not feeling very energetic, especially after cutting out so much meat. I gave it 2 stars because it can work as a cleansing diet for SOME people before they go on to a natural low-carb diet.

Sorry folks but Dr. Atkins was correct all along and continued research findings keep proving it over and over again much to the chagrin of the medical establishment and the Pharmaceutical companies.

I sugguest the following reading list (in this order):Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution, Life Without Bread, The Zone Diet, and Eat Fat Look Thin. These books explain how and why low-carb high/fat protein diets are what humans have evolved to eat. But you really really need to emerce yourself in the information because these are not diets, these are changes you need to make for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE if you want to keep the weight off and live a healthy disease free life.

And for the very thin who wish to gain weight, I would suggest you read just the Life Without Bread book. There is hope for you as well.

I sent in a review yesterday, and now I feel like a wretched sinner. In the final sentence I called the author a rather inflammatory term, and one really ought not do such things. Please delete this entire final sentence with this offending word from my review of yesterday. Thank you.

I threw the books away after a few pages of nothing but rantings of “how great I am” by the author. They may have gotten me to buy some books but I will not read them or pass them on,… they are only fit for the burn barrel. At least they can produce some heat to cook my steak.

I was hoping that this book would work for me but it didn’t. The number one bit of advice here is to eat only fruit before noon, and I did that for a week or two and there was absolutely no difference in my weight. I also stuck to their food combining rules the rest of the day. It made no difference at all. I realized that the author’s claim, that you don’t need to diet, you just need to watch your food combining, is untrue. The whole premise of the book is baloney. But there are still some good things in here. He’s on the right side of the healthy food debate. He just oversteps himself. We shouldn’t be interested in his claims that this or that is simple common sense. You can put a lot of things under the umbrella of what seems to be common sense to you, but that doesn’t mean it is right.
