Brother Echo Recipes #1 – Butternut Squash Soup

Aloha Sangha! Here is the first of many more new recipes to come. Brother Echo has been busy experimenting with new flavors and studying culinary techniques so that I can bring you healthy, living food recipes that are easy to understand and fun to make. Today’s recipe is a Butternut Squash Soup. Normally with my recipes I try to think of some fun name that makes people look twice but for this particular recipe I figured I’d let the flavors do the talking. This is a very sweet soup that I don’t think anyone could turn down. The flavors are absolutely stellar and there are numerous ingredients that complement each other like coconut and cinnamon for example. When you’re preparing this soup at home remember this recipe isn’t a page out of a rule book it’s a page out of the book of inspiration. So should you feel like leaving something out or adding something in… please do. The most important ingredient to this recipe is that you’re having fun and are preparing food with love and kindness. With that said, I’ll leave you to it. If you make this soup please take some pictures of your process and email them in at RAWSANGHA[at]GMAIL[dot]COM Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. -BE :-) BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP 3 c diced butternut squash 1 c diced carrots 1 young coconut meat and water 1 c orange juice 1/4 c lemon juice 4 pitted dates 1 c cashews 1 garlic clove 4 T coconut aminos 1 T curry powder 1 T cinnamon 1 t sea salt 2 T HealthForce Earth Directions: Peel butternut squash cut open

Wow!! I just made this … minus the cashews, dates & coconut, which I couldn’t get at my local supermarket. I added some Kale. The soup IS DELICIOUS!
I bet the cashews, dates & coconut would’ve added a nice consistency.
    Still tasty tho’.
    THANKS!
BTW, do you ever eat RAW BEETS?
